Garamond

So another cool assignment that i got was from my visual forces class (its a combination of the 2D and 3D class) was to first research this font Garamond and do a presentation to the class about it. My partner was Erica and i guess we did decent on it, no flaming :P

For the next week, for 2D, we were suppose to brainstorm and sketch ideas for a poster which would tribute the font that was assigned to you. Using complimentary colors was important. For 3D, we were suppose to create sketch models for one of the letters that you chose in the font that was assigned to you.

For the week after that, we were suppose to have both the finished 2D poster and a 3D model of the letter you chose fully done. Here are the photos of most of the process, excluding the presentation. Wanna check out the font? Go into Microsoft word and find it :P

Hey, had to check up what the “jokerman” font was lol. Pretty weird font o.O, we were assigned fonts that had more of a historical background like ‘times new roman’ and ‘gill sans’ :P We learned about the golden ratio but it was most in the context of architecture and images, i wouldn’t be surprised if some fonts used it also!
So what have you been up to lately Rawle?

The individual with the font ‘jokerman’ would have an interesting time. I’ve heard that some fonts employ the golden ratio; pretty cool.
