Plastic water sculpture

Here is one of my projects from a month or so. The assignment was to take a artwork (it was a painting with a lot of geometrical shapes and lines) and convert it into a 3D structure. The sculpture is suppose to look like the painting from the front view. Where the squares overlap, the liquid inside each square mixes creating different colors (this was also an important aspect of the assignment, color mixing).

Thanks to the amazing workshop at OCAD, i managed to finish the whole project by just using scrap plastic pieces and their liquid plastic glue (it had to be applied by a non synthetic paintbrush since the glue melts all the plastic it comes in contact with). The only think i bought for this project was the gatorade and different energy drinks that i used to mix the liquids in each square.
